体坛英语资讯:Iniesta unsure about return to Barcas title-decider

FC Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta said on Friday he was unsure whether he would be able to return to help his side clinch the La Liga title this Sunday.

The Spain international is back in full training this week after suffering a torn thigh muscle a month ago. His side needs to beat Valladolid in the last game of the season and with midfield general Xavi Hernandez suspended for the match, many believes Iniesta's return to fitness has come at the perfect moment.

The midfielder, however, said that whether he played in the vital game was not in his hands.

"It depends on the coach (Pep Guardiola) who plays or not, but being honest it is going to be hard for me to be at my best competitive level," he said in Friday's edition of El Mundo Deportivo.

Iniesta reflected on a season which he began with a thigh injury that kept him out of last summer's Confederations Cup and which plagued him throughout the current campaign.

"Maybe my form has not been as regular as it could have been, or as good as I would have liked, but I hope to end the season playing and winning the league. I am certain that it will be a point of inflection that I can assume in the future," he commented.

"It is very hard to be out injured and I have had to be out at the most enjoyable and decisive part of the season. You suffer and you feel bad, so it would be important to play a part in the last game."

"It has been a difficult season, but I have learned a lot, things that are not so good help you understand things better and I will be back to playing at a high level in the future," he said.
